Trail Camera Tuesday. Finally got out to check the cameras, we had to walk over a lot of snow and do quite a bit of puddle jumping but we got to them. In general not a lot has shown up yet. But catching this pine marten was pretty sweet. ⁠

When we first saw this bisin calf it was on the ed

When we first saw this bisin calf it was on the edge of the river with no other bison close by. As we watched it would hesitantly move around and call out in distress. After a little while the calves mother came jogging to the opposite river bank. This seemed to be enough encouragement for the calf to jump into the river becoming fully submerged before swimming to its mother. After nursing for awhile the cow and calf returned to the rest of the group.

It is time to be bear aware! I have not been able to get out to check my trail cameras yet this spring due to bears (well at least in part). This time of year I don't like to travel to them alone due to bears in the area. Until I can get back to my cameras enjoy this video from 2018. ⁠
